I’ve fallen off the wagon

Hello lovely,

Confession! I’ve fallen off the wagon when it comes to my content… including this email and I’m here to own it!

Consistency is something I bang on about a lot! I’m sure you’ve seen me talk about it once or twice. This year, it’s just not really happened for me so far, and we are ⅙ of the way through… so eek!!

With some big life stuff happening, then getting hit with the dreaded C(ovid) and then jumping into travel, my rhythm has been thrown and I simply have not made the time to plan out my content.

It’s been a good reminder of just how important planning is and also the space to be creative. I launched back into work the other week and quickly booked up my calendar with calls. I LOVE connecting with my clients, colleagues and audience, but it left little room for any creative work or planning for the months to come.

So, I’ve pulled myself into line and I’m changing how I manage my days. From now on I will be arranging my days this way:

Monday – admin (life and business) and networking day

Tuesday – calls, connection and showing up for my audience

Wednesday – MY DAY (with my baby boy) – this is my non-negotiable!

Thursday – calls, connections, interviews and opportunities!

Friday – CREATIVE! No calls, just space to plan and create, especially for my program members

I feel so excited by this structure which also builds in a lot of flexibility and freedom.

Despite not being as consistent as I would have liked in terms of my content, I am still proud of how often I was able to show up in this time.

When I talk about consistency, I don’t mean being constantly online or constantly in people’s faces (or inboxes)! None of us want that. What it means is finding a pattern that works for you. How often can you consistently show up and commit to that for your audience? It might be once a week, it might be once a day, or it might be once a month – you decide!

I’ve been able to show up for my clients in our awesome training sessions and coaching calls. I’ve shown up at events and made some beautiful new connections. I’ve shown up for my family and been genuinely present. I’ve shown up for myself by prioritising rest and asking for what I need. I’ve shown up by putting myself forward for opportunities.

There’s often a lot of behind the scenes in showing up as well as all the stuff we see online and digitally. So have a check-in with yourself on how you’ve been showing up!

I would love to hear from you about what consistency looks like for you?

Cheers

Em
