Lovelly Communications - You Don't Need A Rebrand

You don’t need a rebrand!

Because your personal brand is you! What you may need to do is reconnect with who you are and share your authentic self more. And this doesn’t mean a rebrand or reinventing your brand, it simply means connecting with who you truly are.

You may have heard some businesses talking about conducting a rebrand or refreshing their brand. In most cases this comes about due to a change in products and offerings or even a change in target market.

But the simple fact is, you don’t need a rebrand.

Because your personal brand is you.

What you may need to do is reconnect with who you are and share your authentic self more. And this doesn’t mean reinventing your brand, it simply means connecting with who you truly are.

I was recently featured in an Officeworks article about rebranding for business, and discussed things to look out for when going down this road. It’s not always necessary and it really needs to be considered if it’s the right way to connect with your audience.

But whether we’re talking about a business brand or personal brand, understanding what you’re trying to say and who you’re talking to is crucial.

The more important part of showcasing your true self and your brand is the message behind the brand, and the mission. These are the parts of your brand that require the most work. The look and feel of the brand, the imagery, the colours, the logos – they are all the visual representation of what the brand stands for. The work needs to be done first and foremost on the messaging. How you’re communicating, how you’re showing up, and how you’re connecting.

And when it comes to personal brand, that comes from looking inside yourself. Reconnecting to the person you truly are. People buy from people so being true to who you are and showing up as you will be of huge benefit to both yourself and your brand.

This means understanding your values, your personality, your skills, and the experiences that brought you to where you are today. It’s also about deciding where you’re going and your goals for the future. This all comes back to your messaging and the communication of your brand.

It’s important to spend some time exploring what your brand currently says about you, and if it feels disconnected, that’s ok. You can work on it. You can reconnect with yourself and you can show up as your authentic self for greater connections in work and life.

So tell me, do you know what your brand currently says about you?
