The first Melbourne Social Media Workshop

It was a pleasure to run the first ever Melbourne Workshop for social media at the Honey Bar and Restaurant in July. We had a great turnout and a wonderful response after.

The guests included comedians, writers, talent managers, photographers and producers. A wide range of interests from a variety of industries but all there for one reason, learning more about social media and how they can better promote their business.

Something that always surprises me with the workshops is how many questions there are. Sometimes we forget when we work in a speciality area, how much we know. When we’re sharing this knowledge with others we get to discover and re-lean with them and that’s really enjoyable part of the time for me.

There is definitely a structure to the workshop and an order I like to run through but a lot of the course is driven by the questions and I enjoy the flow of the workshop with the variation of participants.

Here’s a few of the testimonials from the course:

“I was very lucky to attend your workshop last minute and walked away with so much information on a topic that I thought I was pretty savvy with. You’re a star and I loved every minute, thank you! I am starting a new business in the next couple of months so will definitely keep in contact and take you up on your very kind offer.

“I recently attended Emma Lovell‘s seminar for Social Media Beginners. As someone whom thinks that “they’ve got this”, I was shocked about how little I actually know. Emma Lovell has her head around all social media platforms and how they can be best used better than anyone I know. Her knowledge of twitter and its use like a surgeon’s tool is second to none. You’ll learn things about ‘Hastags’ and their use that you’ve never thought of. Thanks to Emma I know have my own hashtag, ‪#‎franksconspiracies‬. If you’re an artist, entertainer or stand-up comedian then Emma can help you with that all import concept of “Cut Through”. When everyone else is yelling on Social Media, Emma will teach you how to sing so everyone will listen. Money well spent and a wise investment in yourself. Enrol today.”
